Max texture size in SWBF2?

ok you extraction guys. Maybe you already know the max texture size supported by the game. In SWBf1 it was 512 pixel. Is it the same or can we go up to 1024 now?

I made 1024 for swbf1. also the sky domes where over 512.

I was actually wondering about this too when I made the sky texture for Coruscant: Streets. You can obviously get much better results with larger texture maps, as long as they don't get so big they bog down the whole map.
It may be that as long as you keep the proportions the same, the game will be able to use the image. Perhaps Psych0fred can answer.

Havn´t seen any stock textures above 512 except the skydome one.
Bandu, did you use 1024res textures for buildings objects ect... ? And if so are you sure they appear in hires ingame?

Btw, are the Gametoast guys doing "own" version of that coruscant space because that kind of "sucks"
i tell the reasons:
1.i heard there is only flyable clonefighters ARC-170 and that is bad, i mean that is bad i cant fly whit other ships
2. There isn't many capitalships like i saw in some videos on internet.

no, u can fly v-wing and jedi starfighter v2 but NOT in coruscant space.
and btw shouldnt this make a topic of its own or maby it would fit in "swbf2 first impressions"??
and teh coruscant space map original version should be pretty easy to add in swbf2 addon folder

Rends, the few textures I've been making was about ... 3.000 pixels, and I've never got any problems with the llllaaaaarrgggeee textures - even if they're more than 512 pixels.
so where do you get that limit from...?

There wasn´t any stock texture for objects,buildings and characters bigger than 512 res. Only skydometextures were bigger.
Now that i´ve seen hires textures on characters in SWBF2 i know they are bigger.
But maybe someone can tell me wich object on wich custom map used a hires texture?

Sorry for the delay . Forgot about this thread. Iv used 1024 x 1024 for alot of textures. They all showed up in game no problem . Didnt really notice the difference . I suspect the difference would only be really visible on large models .
