[Noob problem] Zero mission editor

Post by altras »

hmpf*, first - excuse me for my foul language :(

Now, i'm working on my first map (yeah i'm a noob) and decided to add some high/low relief. I have no problem doing it with ZE - with height edit mode and stuff.. The problem is when i test my map. All height changes dont appear in the game. Come to that, all things (new CPs, sky, textures and others) i add to the default munged map dont appear. I'm doing the way it is in GettingStarted.doc, but nothing happens :x

Please give me a tip

It may be a really dumb question, but are you saving your map before you munge? Make sure you save it as the original map name and not some new name or you will not see your changes.

be sure that your terrain size is 512 x 512 or 256 x256......because if it is e.g. 324x 522 the position of the height changes.....and you may not find it^^

okay, i'll admit - i'm kinda stupid! In ZE all "mountains" i make look so small (Foreground and background set at 150 ) :D And thats why they don't appear - BF 2 can't render them  So i try making height changes with Foreground and background set at 50 - and it works !
And now in the game they look so huge :D

So now i want to delete all my 3 buggy maps. How to do it? Shift+delete?

:D

P.S. Please tell me the maximum height changes that can be made
