Cap Ships on land battles..question

Ok....heres what Ive got. I'm modifying my EP2 Geonosis map to include a space battle. Ive got everyting to work. Heres my problem:

Over time...the units who die on the ground(theres alot) end up spawning in the Cap ships and cant get out fast enough to keep the battle flow going.
So I have an army of people after a few minutes all bunched into the Cap ships waiting to fly out. I need to limit the number of people who can spawn at that point to make it workable.

Anyone got any ideas on how to script this?

Nice shots. You can place your entire captial ship into a region. Keep track of the number of units inside the region. When it gets too large, disable the CP so no more units can spawn in the captial ship. When the numbers die down again, reenable to CP again. I'm not sure if spawning inside a region will throw an EnterRegion event. If it doesn't, you would need to have the spawn paths outside the region.

You could place a spawn path node for the captial ship on a 'landnig pad' down on the planet so some units spawn there instead of on the ship. Some humans might not like that though.

I believe there is a way to set CP weights like you can with AI paths, but I'm not sure on this.

Are you going to put turrets on the underside of the captial ship? I think it would be fun trying to take those out from the ground.

Turrets on the belly. Fantastic Idea! I will certainly be doing that!

Im sure theres a way to cut down the spawn values of the CP's on board the ships...just havent figured it out yet. Ive tried all sorts of things.

I may end up putting the hangars close to the mountains and ramping off the edge. That way they can just charge back into the madness(like they love to do).

What I ended up doing was disableing the spawns on the command posts...and included gunships on both factions' cp's to spawn beside them.

That way only a few spawn in the hanagrs...and can easily fly away and rejoin the fight.
