I'm having a problem where ZeroEditor crashes on startup. I double click on zeroeditor.exe and the loading screen pops-up. A few seconds later a Windows Program Error message is displayed saying "zeroeditor.exe has generated errors and will be closed..."
I have another computer, where I get this error too. That computer has both Windows 2003 and Windows 2000 on it (both have all updates). Under Win2003 it works fine, but I get the error message on the same zeroeditor.exe file when I run it under Win2000. The computer I'm getting the error message on it now, is also running Windows 2000.
Are the other people having this problem also running Windows 2000?
( there was another topic about this, but it was locked: http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=0 . Mods, why would you lock an unsloved tech support topic? Just because we have yet to discover a fix, shouldn't mean we forget about the people who are having a commen problem. We need a place to share computer stats so that it can be fixed. )

RE: ZeroEditor won
Just to clarify, and hopefully not to be rude, this is what I put there that applies here:
If we had the answers, we'd give them. Lots of people have this problem, and nobody knows how to fix it.
I know many people are hoping for a fix.

Possible Fix Found
Possible fix:
Turn your color settings up to True Color (32-bit). I was fiddling around with many settings, but when I changed my desktop color from High Color (16-bit) to True Color (32-bit) ZeroEditor worked. Changing the color back to High Color (16-bit) made ZeroEditor crash again. Make sure your desktop colors are set to at least True Color (32-bit).
Edit: so did it work for anyone else?
