LUA opening program

hello ive just got the LUA from lua.org but it doesnt work!! does anyone have any othe software that can replace LUA?? any editor that does the same job?? if so plz tell me where i can get it.thnx

I say this as kindly as I can, try wordpad or notepad, I reccomend them

ow Erathoniel.. im not sooooo n00b.. this i know but when i open the files with notepad appears a lot of symbols not the strings n values that i wanna edit.. for this to happen should i use a hex editor?? if so where can i get a good one??

demon', might I know what exact LUA script you've tried to edit through Notepad ?

im trying to open hot1.lua. but ive already tried tat1.lua n geo1.lua but none of these works... plz tell me if im doin anything wrong ( im opening it with notepad only) or rying to open not openable files
