Help With HUD Issue

Sorry to make a thread for such a dumb thing, but can someone please tell me what's going on with my HUD? I'm pretty sure the black box on the bottom of the screen is the tooltip box, but for some reason no text shows up. I have the unofficial 1.3 patch r129 installed, and the HD Remastered mod, Improved Sides mod and rezzed BF2 maps. Everything else seems to be working fine, so I'm not sure what's going on. Here's a screenshot for reference.

See if that happens on stock maps, as it might be a weird bug with the remaster and rezzed maps.
