Microsoft announced yesterday 19 OG XBOX games coming to Xbox One.
Among these are the 2004 Star Wars Battlefront and the 2005 Star Wars Battlefront 2!

I'll pick it up only if there's a way to do system link that's not convoluted. It woudln't take much horsepower for the X1 to basically allow the an Xbox LIVE Party to be considered a LAN group. Probably would be a beast to program though.

I'm definitely going to buy it (just to show appreciation).
But you don't have to buy it; if you already have the disc version, just pop in the disc and it'll download to your XB1.

And I remember MS saying that they will make it seamless to link the XB1, XB360 and OG XB all together.

Not sure what you mean by 'beast to program for', you talking about XB1, XLink Kai, mods?

Any sort of online play. I've never heard of Kai working on X1, though maybe it's because nobody has tried.

I think it's going to work.

In their FAQ, they say the following:

Since these are the original games, not remasters, Xbox Live services such as online multiplayer and in-game marketplaces that were available on the Original Xbox, will not be available. However, offline multiplayer scenarios such as co-op, party scenarios (multiple controller on one console), and system-link are supported if they were supported on the Original Xbox. With system-link (if game supports the feature), you can play with others across Original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X consoles.

I installed these yesterday and they are very nice.

Visually, in game graphics are crisp and the textures hold up at 4K.

If you get real close, you can see that the in game font is a little jaggy around the edges but it looks pretty good.

The the videos look better than I was anticipating too.

But they did not include any DLC.

Would be cool if we could give some mods to Microsoft/Disney to sign and distribute

Just noticed that SWBF2 on Xbox One got an update including the Xbox DLC with Kit Fisto, Ventress, Yavin Arena, Rhen Var and the Assault modes on many maps!!!

Yep, and apparently this also applies to the digital copy of SWBF2 if you own a 360 with Xbox Live!

Not true for me so far. I only have a 360 and Xbox live and no update
