Why this little part of skin?!

The 212th legion is my favorite battalion
...with some bf2 mods I always hahe one question...why the authors added this part in
orange?!
(Bfx & Dev's side Mod)
I never saw this in the EP3 or star wars TCW:
The imagination of the authors?! Someone know why?!

My guess is that they thought that that part should have been painted, but it looks like it should not.

See the one on the far left.
But really, it's this thing called artistic license. Not all of us are accuracy nuts.
