Re: Orion: City
Well the first person tank got better reception than I thought it would so I'll be keeping it in first person.
Short 2 minute video showing the tank and parts of main street.

Re: Orion: City
IMO it looks too much like the 3rd map frokm Aldura campaign by Eggman. Even the landspeeders are there So you should at least reskin the buildings. But it's looking good!

Re: Orion: City
At the beginning I thought it would be another street-based map. But now I see it is more than that. It looks great and you made me really want to play this!!! Can't wait hahaha

Re: Orion: City
So I guess I'm going to put out one more update on the status of this map.
Today I decided I was going to revert back to the stock sides because I didn't like how my custom ones were turning out. As I was going through to do that I somehow managed to make the map give me a FATAL error. I tried putting the old sides back, cleaning and manual cleaning but none of that worked. I figure I must have screwed something up in my LUA, because that's all I edited, but I'm not sure what.
I haven't put out an update since December and I've been lacking motivation to even want to work on this. So I've decided to quit working on this map.
I do apologize to the people who were looking forward to playing this.

That's too bad, man. This was a really good looking map. Do you have plans for another at this point or no?

I'd be happy to take on the mantle of the map, if you'd be comfortable with it

Re: Orion: City
Alright so... Completely disregard my last post. I copied some code from another LUA I had and I fixed my crash. That was a really easy fix.
I feel really dumb now

Re: Orion: City
Your map is nice, so far but it feels too much like Alderaan from the conversion pack.
The only issue I encountered was the first time I loaded the map, street was black, untextured. I maxed the lod and view distance, and restarted the level. It crashed after load.
I restarted the game and it played fine and the street was textured ok.
Also in the instant action list the map shows up with nothing, nameless, until I mouse over it, then the name appears.
I didn't notice the 1st person in tanks, I will play it again to see

Re: Orion: City
So I have a bit of an update.
First I want to thank the people who gave me feedback on the first release. It's helped a lot.
And sadly I don't know why it's crashing the at times for some people.
Next, a list of problems that I have fixed so far:
Being able to see past the model in the Republic's tank
Having to jump to get on to the sidewalks
Players being able to exit the map (hopefully)
I'm working on try to add ambient sound streams
I have tweaked the lighting a bit so hopefully it looks a little better
I'm working on trying to add ambient sound streams
I have also been working on the sides, doing mainly cosmetic stuff like changing weapon models and unit skins.
I have replaced the clone commander with the ARC Heavy Gunner and I modified the Magnaguard a bit.

Re: Orion: City
Nice to see you've updated it, the new lighting is lovely, the first one looked like a really pritty model that someone had poured slime over, its nice to see it in full glory, it atually looks like how I wanted it to look in my head, Good show!
