What do you means by "better hair" ? Reskinned hair or complete new hairs ?
The hair should be slightly bigger.

Nedarb, I am 99% sure that you shouldn't be claiming that the ported Republic Commando is your work.

Yeah, I was being a silly goose. His is just so good that it looks like it's ported.

Here is a skin I made for the stock battledroid. I think I really need to start releasing my assets since I tend to make more concepts and skins than I actually use.

Wow, that E7 side is pretty awesome - I like your versions better than the ones in the trailers, besides preferring the shorter chin. Fantastic work!

That is awesome, ggctuk! I hope that BF1 will work good with that without having all lowres models for the other units!

It's a modification of the stock Stormtrooper so it should work fine.

EDIT: As I understand it, there are only ever a max. 4 or 5 units on the map at any time in 'high-res'. It doesn't seem to be determined by mesh triangle count.

These are more or less an exercise in learning to envelope and weight models, and these are for my SWBF1 mod, but here's a few pictures of what I've been doing with the stock models:

The pauldron and backpack mesh are from the same Wii TFU model source that I got the Heavy Trooper parts from though I have modified the UV for the ARC Trooper.

Though that picture is in Metasequoia, I've nearly fully-enveloped and weighted the model. I think that just leaves the Scuba Trooper concept and the Blaze Trooper not done from the ROTS video game.
