For the way Twilight was describing it, yes. He was showing how to do it in a spoiler tag. But it doesn't matter anymore anyway, it's been settled; no need to worry.

It looks nice, but the obsidian looks out of place. Without it I think it would look better.

Yes, the Obsidian is part of the reference as well as the pyramid beeing a palace instead of a grave. The Obsidian looks way better at night though.

The pyramid looks great; my only nitpick is the random obsidian with torches on top of them. It seems out of place in my opinion. You could move those to floor level and place the torches on the wall.
