SWBF2 to SWBF Conversions
Hey again, I'm trying to convert my custom SWBF2 map to SWBF. I made a new project and copied the world/odf/effects/msh folders into my DataRhenVar3\Worlds\RhenVar3 but when I opened it in ZE, it crashed right away, Does anyone know how i could fix this?

Well, I never try convert custom maps before, only stock, but the problem, with crash ZE, I had only may coused, by hintnodes (.hnt). Also .sky file, may have some difference, so, you better use stock, SWBF1 sky file, and change parameters, by manualy editing.

SWBF2 terrain is incompatible with SWBF1 and that version of ZE. See this post for info on how to fix it.

Ok, i followed the pic by changing the 16 to 15, and deleting the hex, right before the first texture. I saved it, opened ZE, and it still crashed, what else should I do?And also you can easy hexedit swbf2 terrain: 1 byte change and other 1 delete.

To be honest I'd try it again. Having even one byte wrong or being one off will cause a crash.

Re: SWBF2 to SWBF Conversions
Person who has a lot of experience in converting SBWFII maps here.
Okay provided your terrain doesn't have any foliage on it you can just use SWBFIIs terrain munger and it will work all fine and dandy in game. (Usually.) If you don't know how to mess with batch files you can just use this http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?top ... 0#msg41690.
If that doesn't work or you have foliage use BattleBelk's method.
Here is a tutorial I wrote that makes it a step by step process.
