A new Prototype in Sword Fighting 2's alternative storyline, has never seen a battle. If it had scratches I'd take proceedings against the producer.Webster27 wrote:looks good, if it's ment to be so shiny and clean

Nicely done skin. What weapon model is that?

Exactly. I thought it would go better with the skin if i changed the color of the yellow parts to light gray.RevanSithLord wrote:Reskinned Imperial Heavy Repeater from Jedi Outcast and Academy it looks like.Fiodis wrote:Nicely done skin. What weapon model is that?

I suggest adding some sand to the upper arms.
And on some places the sand is suspiciously yellow

Well, looks like someone's been through a sandstorm. Good times were had, right? Nice job.

Nice work! You may want to use one of those remapped troopers though. That way, the sand patterns won't be symmetrical and generates a more realistic effect. That being said, the wear and tear looks really great!

Nice work, but I'm not sure you'd get that much sand sticking to a stormtrooper.

Re: Glamour Skins to the 9s
In a dry desert like Tatooine, I would think you'd get nothing but a fine dusting that would actually stick to the armor or fill in scratches, but on Kashyyyk where the beach sand is wet it would be stickier.

I'm leaning towards agreeing with Kinetos, although I think it would be a bit more than a fine dusting.
Plus, we have proper references.

Re: Glamour Skins to the 9s
Just because it's in a star wars movie doesn't mean it's really like that. They just did that to make the stormies look more interesting. Besides, who says that's sand on their armour? But I also agree with kinetos - it depends where you are as to what sand effect you'd use.

Uh... that's an... interesting way of looking at it. You could use that logic with practically anything. If the movies aren't an accurate depiction of what Star Wars is supposed to look like, what is? And why do you think they only added sand to the armor just to look interesting? That's trying to be realistic and practical, not "interesting." Being interesting is having holographic interfaces, anti-gravity devices, and lightsabers. Being practical and realistic is showing wear and tear on space ships and weapons(which Star Wars is known for). The difference being, trying to be "interesting" implies there is little logic behind it and it is just there to be cool. Being practical and realistic means they try to make things look as they should, with worn down ships and dirty armor.

Re: Glamour Skins to the 9s
But the stormies have gleaming white armor on Endor, when they should be either camo'd or caked with dirt! Plus, if I saw my stormies walking around with their armor in a total state like those on Tatooine, I'd hand them a court-martial. Every stormie's armor must be regulation Imperial White.THEWULFMAN wrote:Being practical and realistic means they try to make things look as they should, with worn down ships and dirty armor.
Anyway, I think lucasfart was half-joking (since he put that tongue-sticking-out smilie there).

Re: Glamour Skins to the 9s
Lol, are we seriously arguing about the state of wear and tear that the armor should be in?
