Re: 2012 Venus Transit
I'll be on the lookout for this rare, once-in-a-lifetime event for sure, not directly, of course.

Transit of Venus
Very soon, Venus will transit in front of the sun for the last time in our lifetime (Or this century, if medical advances increase). It will be visible over the Western Hemisphere at 4:09 PM Central Time (US) June 5, and near the Eastern Hemisphere, 4:49 AM GMT on June 6.

Re: 2012 Venus Transit
Huh. It's been raining and cloudy over here, so I really hope it clears up before the transit.
Hopefully it's more impressive than it sounds/looks, because while it may be unique/once in a lifetime, is it really gonna be that great?

Sure, it is great! It's your opportunity to see first hand for yourself at how miniscule human beings are in this vast cosmos by simply viewing our neighboring planet.
