Question about sound modding/swearing?
Hello, I currently have battlefront 1 and may be soon receiving Battlefront 2 for christmas. My parents don't mind the language in it while im playing it, but I have
younger brothers and sisters who also want to play the game, but can't due to the swearing in some situations and missions. First of all, is there a sound mod that has been made which removes the language (or completely removes the audio files)
and if so, when installed, would this make so that I can't play over the network with those that don't have this mod installed? Thanks.

I think there is maybe one "four-letter-word" over the course of all the missions. There are Disney animated movies with more curses than that. Are you sure you're fully aware of how prevalent any language is?

As far as I can remember, the only swear word in the game is when you are playing Capture the Flag on the Republic side, sometimes the narrator will say "The CIS have captured the flag. *Beaver's house*!"
So, as long as you don't let the CIS score, you should be fine . *jk*
Ummm, you can turn the volume off when playing CTF? Or you can go to your sound options and turn the voice off. Or you could just not play CTF. But as far as I'm concerned, there isn't a mod that can turn off the single swear word.

In the cutscene after the Mustafar level the clone narrator will say "dam* near blew up the planet." But thats not that bad.

Re: Question about sound modding/swearing?
ok, guys I know "insert four letter word here" is the only swearword used in the game, and only in a couple instances. I personally don't care about it, but my parents are nutjobs, so plz, help me out here.
I don't care about removing it from the cutscenes
EDIT
oh, and i've played this on the ps2 and comp at friend's hjouses quite a bit mav, so im pretty sure im aware of most of it

My only advice is, don't play Capture the Flag as the Republic or the Mustafar Campaign level when they're around.

Check the audio options, you should be able to set the volume of ingame voices to 0.

With the campaign level, you can also just click to skip through it, you won't miss all that much. But for the rest you can just set voice volume to 0 (not to be redundant).

im sure your parents say worse things in traffic to bad drivers than is in this game, the only reason it is even rated teen is a combo of the objects is to kill and to boost sales, cus honestly if it was E 10+ most people wouldnt have bought it.

That, and the E10 rating didn't exist in 2005....myers73 wrote:im sure your parents say worse things in traffic to bad drivers than is in this game, the only reason it is even rated teen is a combo of the objects is to kill and to boost sales, cus honestly if it was E 10+ most people wouldnt have bought it.
