I'll do it as long as i'm on republic, cause I despise playing as the droids

Re: SWModding Conquest
Bots only if we have less than 10 humans, I'd say.

Just have no bots. They completely ruin the multiplayer experiance.

Re: SWModding Conquest
This is definitely not just GameToast. And I need more people to convince myself that it is a good idea not to use bots.

Re: SWModding Conquest
Why do you have to start it so late? Why not in November? Are we doing more than one battle each Saturday? Sorry for all the questions.

Re: SWModding Conquest
Well, as I said, my saturdays aren't completely free yet. All East this weekend, Thanksgiving next weekend, choir performance the next. December 19 is the first free Saturday I have for a while. And it's just one battle per Saturday.
The polls are closed. Clone Wars wins! Now I need ideas on which maps will be used.

Do you mean modmaps? Saga Of The 607! Or maybe, Battle Arena 2.0. I don't really like stock maps, so i'll leave that choice to someone else.

Re: SWModding Conquest
I mean which maps we should do (shipped maps, mod maps). Mod maps need to be compatible with multiplayer, and I must have them downloaded, and I will not be downloading any more maps, so the only mod that might be used is Conversion Pack 2.2, which is definitely the best BF2 mod out there that I've seen.

You haven't seen very many mods then.darthtyren wrote:I mean which maps we should do (shipped maps, mod maps). Re: SWModding Conquest
Actually, yes I have, but I like Convo Pack the best.
Maybe Dark Space, or Ultimate Battlefront, if they are Multiplayer-compatible.

Re: SWModding Conquest
Battle Arena 2.0 was built for multiplayer. That'd be a good place to start.

Looks good, but not appropriate for this competition.

Re: SWModding Conquest
I just had a multiplayer session on UB:TCW with one of our newer members, Commando Rambo.
Wasn't much fun, it's one of those games where you get bored of playing and start the chatfest.

So, we shouldn't do UB:TCW?

Re: SWModding Conquest
Now what about BFX?
And just how long is "one battle", if you're planning one per Saturday? This tournament, if that is indeed what it will end up being, will proceed at a lethargic pace if you only have one battle every who-knows-how-many weeks. I'd reccommendat least four a day, figure a half-hour time limit on each, with a five-minute breather in between comes to 2:15. Not terribly much.
