SWModding Conquest
I will be hosting a tournament for Battlefront II multiplayer. Anyone want to sign up? The tournament will start every Saturday (initiation/which era: TBA). It's like a Multiplayer Conquest: 1 battle every week. If you vote for modded eras, please post so I can know which ones.

Re: SWModding Conquest
If we can't make every battle (my Saturdays are not always free) will we be penalized/disqualified?
I vote Clone Wars because in my opinion, GCW loses its balance on maps where the dark trooper loses mobility (the jet trooper suffers little more than the mangaguard and droideka in my mind), and I am not aware of any modded sides that are different enough to allow people to have an actual preference but still balanced enough that one side is not at a large advantage.

I would completely understand if people wouldn't be able to make every Saturday. My Saturdays aren't completely free yet.biohazard wrote:If we can't make every battle (my Saturdays are not always free) will we be penalized/disqualified?
By the way, if you play, you have to be on the same side every time we play. So, it's kind of like PvP battles in Battlefront 2.

Re: SWModding Conquest
I don't think I'll participate, but may I suggest this system?;
(you can change the amounts, btw)
For example, let's say you want everyone to have competed in at least 5 matches. Hold 8 or 9 nines, so that everyone should have the change to reach the minimum. When people have played more than 5 matches, only their best results count.
Ad all the (best) scores up (points, kills, deaths etc.) and maybe keep track of the awards that have been given (it's always fun to know who was Bantha Fodder most of the times ) and divide them by 5. That should give you a pretty fair result. (of course, you can ad additional rules etc.)

Re: SWModding Conquest
I don't think so. This is going to be a war. I might post the results of each battle every week, but the team that is victorious in getting control of all the planets first (I don't know which planets we will do) wins war. This can take as long as it needs to.

Oh, so you want it to be like a metá-game? Sorry, I thought you were talking about a competition.

I call CIS
If it's GCW I'll take whichever has less people already on it.

Re: SWModding Conquest
Are you going to have mod maps, too? And just state that each person must have that map installed? Or are you going to just use the stock maps?

If mod maps are used, I ask that you avoid sizes <50 mb for those of us with slower connections.

Only if everyone insists. If you have an idea about what maps we should do, then please post.General_Nate wrote:Are you going to have mod maps, too? And just state that each person must have that map installed? Or are you going to just use the stock maps?

Not every mod map is;
A; Situated for online play
B; Balanced for online play
What seems to be balanced in singleplayer will play totally different in multiplayer, take the stock maps as an example.

Re: SWModding Conquest
What about the Convo Pack maps? Those were going to be the only ones allowed, if they were suggested.

Re: SWModding Conquest
All depends on what maps people will want to play.
So, Clone Wars leads 9-6-4 added with the poll on my website.
And before everyone starts asking, it is going to be Internet, not LAN.

Re: SWModding Conquest
What else, LAN means "Local Area Network", only computers which are connected together without internet could be a LAN, so you can't make a tournament with one player from the USA, one from Austria, Germany, Norway, Russia,...darthtyren wrote:it is going to be Internet, not LAN
I won't sign up for it, because my saturdays are full, sorry Darth

Not exactly. If you sign up, then I will pm you with the password that the server will be equipped with.
You can just sign up here, or if you feel more comfortable, on my website.
