What's your favorite battle you've ever fought in?
Okay, so I like playing Star Wars Battlefront II and I would like to here other people's epic stories.
The rules are: It can be any battle you ever fought in except, a mod or map that has not been realeased. Must hav an accurate discription, why you liked it, the rienforcements on both sides, and if it is multiplayer, some of the players which made it fun. You can post as many battles as you like.
To start with, my favorite battle was Mygeeto: The Bridges on singleplayer because I liked blasting droids to peices with Bacara. it was espacially fun killing Droidekas and Super Battle Droids. It had exacly 10,000 rienforcements to start with, and ended with like 3,000 to 0. And it took about 45 minutes to finish and I got something like 1,000 kills.

Re: What's your favorite battle you've ever fought in?
Hm... well my greatest battle story would probably this one time on Repsharpshooter's Battle Arena 2.0 on RvB era Wave Mode
For the past few days, my buddies and I have been having a contest on who could go the farthest in it. At that time, there was a rumor that it had 82 waves and rancors at the end. One day, I got together with {DSQ}DR.Tourny(RPG) (and about 7 other random guys) and we had at the challenge. Tourny and I sorta became leaders of two "teams". My men and I stationed ourselves at this high, but small, pile of boxes, whereas Tourny and company stationed themselves at this corner that was pretty much walled off by boxes and had some sniper holes to shoot out from.
As the wave after wave passed, men were lost. Tourny, being the host, used the /admin /swap # command to bring them back in the game. Despite my men dieing around me, I continued to somehow cheat the Reaper out of his prize.
More and more bots came, more and more died. I felt invincible. I felt as if nothing could hurt me. One or two times a wampa had even knocked me down, but I managed to roll back to my feet just before it could send me to oblivion. I looked at my stats and I had over 300 kills!
It was around wave 77 when I had a HUGE lag spike. I couldn't see a thing. I couldn't even stand still! I had no choice but to hold ALT for the entire wave and hope I didn't get hit. Despite all odds, I didn't die. However, it was about that time when I "lost connection to host". I was devastated but at least I had gotten pictures and videos of the battle, including the lag out screen and my slowly increasing kills that proved I was ever in the battle.
I rejoined the fight immediately after wards. From their we managed to reach wave 83 (even though it stopped counting after 80). Their were no rancors but we had done what people said were impossible. We had made it to wave eighty-...THREE. In the end, it was getting late so we decided to end the server. I looked at my stats after the battle. And, combined with my last recorded stats I had before my lag out, gave me 573 kills in all with not one death.
It was the proudest moment of the my SWBF2 career... Now if only I could do that well in the (SWGO)Jedi Battle Arena.

My favorite battle was on Jabba's palace. It was when I was a newbie to Multiplayer and I getting killed fifty-bazillion times by other real players. However, they all got trapped in one of the corridors, and I through a mine at them. Man, sweet revenge.

My favourite one was in a server that was running stock mos eisly hero assault and was trying to be controlled by an immature admin. He was continuously like "plz no guns:(:(:(:(" I tried to help him, by hunting down all the jango's windu style :maulsaber:, but then, he suddenly started shooting me. So I was like "you hypocrite dumbo" and I pwned him back. Then he set everyone on the server up against me, so I decided to return the favour and switched to Boba Fett...

The only way I ever ussually get kills, is by tossing mines at them. Except for any engineer n00bs, which I just hit with rockets, run away, or get killed by there deathpacks.StarkillerMarek wrote:My favorite battle was on Jabba's palace. Here's an old one.
DDC vs. YTG
Death Star
Conquest
Rules:
Whichever team got the most overall kills wins.
No CPS
This was my very first FW with DDC, so I was .::DDC::.Pvt.RogueKnight at the time. This was the first time I had ever really played in an online match as a key player, and I was a little nervous, for a few reasons. I was fighting a team that appeared to be a very good one, and my team consisted of two clan leaders, so I was eager to impress, but I figured all I would end up doing was looking stupid.
As the match started, I figured, "Oh, this will be a lot like singleplayer!" so I grabbed a regular trooper and started down the long hallway to what I hoped to be the beginning of a long career in DDC. I rounded the corner, and that's when it hit me! A sniper bullet to the face that is. Respawning, and wondering how someone could pull off such a kill with one single shot, I proceeded more cautiously down the hallway. I managed to get a grenade and three shots off this time before i was killed, and the grenade actually happened to kill one of their team members that hadn't noticed it and walked right by it in a duel with Worrior. I decided to try out this whole sniping thing, figuring it was my only chance at getting another kill. I spawned, then started walking down the hallway. I met one of them at the top of the stairs, pointed in the general direction of him, and clicked. I miraculously hit him dead in the head, and proceeded down the stairway. By now I was thinking "Wow, talk about dumb luck..." but after a few more engagements that ended in my favor, I started to wonder if I actually might be good at this.
We went on to win that FW, and three against YTG the same day, then a week later they disbanded.
Sorry bout the boring story, but that was a substantial moment in my battlefront history, learning that i was actually good with a sniper rifle.

Re: What's your favorite battle you've ever fought in?
More sniper fun:
On a large server (about 25 people on at the time) and playing as a republic sniper on Mos Eisley. I had just joined in the thick of a battle, and so I wanted to snipe AIs for points.
There was this one guy that kept killing everyone with Maul. Nearly got me the first time he noticed me, but spared me in favor of killing our hero, who had just spawned nearby....ran away then, always a good survival strategy.
The battle progressed, and I was combing through some back alleyways hunting for AI when I spot an SBD walking up the street. Perfect; I crouch and don't bother to aim, since he's pretty close to me and I'm a fair shot without the aiming reticule (Indeed, I make a point of playing without it whenever I can).
Just as I'm about to shoot, I see a flash of red to my right. I panic, swinging my aim and taking a blind shot, and somehow land a headshot on the approaching Maul. His saber stops a foot away from my face and I just stare at the downed villain.
Then I'm hit in the head by the SBD's rocket. Jolly.

A rocket from an SBD AI probably kills me more than anything else in the entire game lol. They miss about 4 out of 5 times, but when a whole squad shoots all three of their missiles at once at you (which they always seem to do right before you take a CP), you're pretty much <censored by GT administration> lol.Fiodis wrote:More sniper fun:

Re: What's your favorite battle you've ever fought in?
Another battle I really liked, was on Star Destroyer with Darth Vatrayan, Dr.Doom, some girl(that I forgot her name) Tourny, Commander Bly, and a few other guys. I was the Rebel spy who snuck aboard the Star Destroyer, and I was trying to capture the cp at the bridge because the only cp I had was the one in the hangar. so I was making my way up to the bridge when I opened the door to the room with a tall shaft, and a platform in the middle and coldly tossed a grenade into it without looking, and then , a surprise it said I had just killed four real players!(and this was when I was new to multiplayer)Then just as I was celebrating, comes Commander Bly with this big rocket launcher. He problably thought "He won't even know what hit him" ! Well, that was kinda true I don't know where it hit, I don't know if it hit below my feet on the floor, or what, but the next thing I knew I was lying on the floor. So then I trie to go up again and This time I make it to the bridge and ther'es, two Impreial marines, two Stormies, two Dark Troopers, and an Imperial Officer! The next thing I knew was lasers flying all around so I roll into the hallway that goes down and find a medical droid and heal. Then commander Bly throwes a grenade down to where I am and kills me. Now, I trie to go up again this time, I make it into the bridge and trie to capture the cp. Little did I know, that there was such a thing as fake console and they put "Deny Cp Capture" so I just stay there until the cp icon on the minimap starts blinking and I think i'm captureing the cp but it just says I am. and as soon as it starts blinking someone shouts" REBEL IN THE BRIDGE!" so then the door opens and comes like seven Imperials and three get trapped in the little pits in the bridge so I soss a grenade in and hope for the best and I get two kills, and then someone jsu thits me with a rocket.Storie Over.

Favorite multiplayer match...probably three years ago when I was playing as an Imperial Engineer on Jabba's Palace and I managed to capture the flag while being chased by 5 Vanguards, Luke, and pretty much the whole team. I got saber-throwed in the back once I captured it, too. Those guys were so mad
Favorite singleplayer match, probably anything on a land with aerial vehicle map. Usually hectic.

Ah, yes, that would be quite hectic, and funny, depending if you're in the aerial vehicle or not.Fusion wrote: Favorite singleplayer match, probably anything on a land with aerial vehicle map. Usually hectic.
As I've never really played many online matches, I can't really say I have any memorable ones from BF2. Other games, yes, BF2, not exactly.
