Best Map You Ever Played!
I'm looking for some new maps to play. I've played a lot and im running a bit short.
So it would be nice if you guys posted your favorite map so I can dowload it! Thx.
After i get some picks that more than several people voted for, I might make a poll.

If you've played a lot, there's a very good chance you're going to have played most or all of the maps people would list as their favorite. I would just recommend browsing through old file archives, either here or at SWBFFiles.

Re: Best Map You Ever Played!
Actually, I looked at every single map on SWBFFiles and played like half of them.
+ I went through like half the whole released map thread here.

Re: Best Map You Ever Played!
I'll list a few.
-Battle Arena 1.0 by RepSharpshooter
The first one is awesome too. In fact, if I can figure out how, I'll try to keep both in my addon folder.
-Mygeeto: Invasion by Nullcommando
I played the Beta. It was one of the best maps I've ever played, even then. Never palyed 1.0, though. But he DID release it. The link broke, might be in Alex's archive.
-Urban Map by RepSharpshooter
Won the map competition, had my vote. Was epic win FOR SURE. Hehe, I knew it was his the first time I played it, about 2 weeks before voting ended, when I saw the grates from Battle Arena.
-Rhen Var: Temple 2.0 and The Cage Match 4.0 by [SBF]Dann_Boeing
Not only a really fun uber map, which is rare to me now, but a really FUNNY one, and well put-together too. Same review for Cage Match 4.0.
-Spira: Besaid by Maveritchell
An amazing RPG mode and KotOR Con? Heck, yeah.
-Most anything by Yankfan (hehe, sorry Yank, can never remember which letters in your name are capitalized)
He is without a doubt one of (if not THE) most skilled mapper on GT IMO. And I'm indecisive about this sorta thing Oo . But he always put excruciating detail into his maps and mods and can make a movie-realistic environment. Don't believe that? Go play his Kashyyyk.
Finally,
-Clone Wars Kashyyyk by Warlord28
Amazing map. Full of units, hard to lose the action. Nice new models where he has them, good object placement. Only problems are lag and length of battles.

Re: Best Map You Ever Played!
So far, it's got to be Battle Of The Titans by DannBoeing that made me want to play it over and over. Plus there's tons of secrets like at cp 8 i think, there is a room with a tv with family guy on it, and loads of beers, and another room a lab with jail cells that lock so you can play prison break!!
So that's my fave map so far. But, looking at Battle Arena 2.0, I think that will be my new fave.

Please note that some of the map names may be misspelt. I was drunk when I wrote it.

Argh do people still play that? It was grossly out-of-balance not to mention only average-looking.Nihillo wrote:-BRA: Bakura Rogue Assault

Still, for a first map, it looked pretty good. I also think they might be trying to get an idea what the third Rebel Ops mission might be like.Maveritchell wrote:Argh do people still play that? Re: Best Map You Ever Played!
Not to derail, but the version he's playing is not the first version (BRA came quite a while after RSA). The first version was straight-up ugly, the one he's playing is better but still mediocre.Ping wrote:Still, for a first map, it looked pretty good. I like Bakura, even if it's your worst, it's still one of the best.

Re: Best Map You Ever Played!
I still remember being absolutely blown away the first time I started up Imperial Base by Delinquent.
It was absolutely perfect, in my books, and to this day I'm amazed at level of depth and detail the map provides, from challenging sides to great combat environments, incorporating a good mix of close-quarters and open-area fighting.
If you haven't played this map, definitely give it a go (or two or three or fifty).
It's got something for everyone, if not everything for everyone.

Honestly the SWBFFiles review does not do it justice, so don't be put off by the rather lacking/bare review.

His Raxus is also amazing (not quite as good in my opinion, gameplay is rather lacking).

As well as Pestox, although I needed to tune down my settings to play that one, still awesome.Skyhammer_216 wrote:Seconded.Taivyx wrote:I still remember being absolutely blown away the first time I started up Imperial Base by Delinquent.
