Hardest Campaign Mission
I think there might have been a thread like this before, but I'm not sure. Well, for me the hardest mission on the campaign was the Knight Fall. 'Cause keeping those bookcases alive while the Jedi and guards were trying to destroy it is kinda tough, especially for two minutes. The next one would have to be the final mission, Our Finest Hour.

Re: Hardest Campaign Mission
They were all actually fairly easy for me, I didn't have any major difficulty that stands out in my memories.
Except.....
Don't laugh at me: Geonosis. I know I have infinite reinforcements and no limit of lives. I don't care. Back before I knew how to play BF2, Objective 7, "Capture the Cliff CP", was impossible. Everytime I got even halfway up that insanely steep hill, a rocket to the head would send me back down. Then I figured out that if I walked a bit farther away from the AT-TE, the slope got a good deal gentler. I made it, on average, 4/5ths the way up.
Then I realized I could use the Jet Trooper, and it was all downhill, or rather uphill, from there.

i'm saying hoth, i dunno, i just found it really hard to capture both the hangar cp's, and to do it inside of the time limit. second i would put as coruscant, but thats only because of the defend the bookcase part.

Too many enemies, too few mines. I usually stay in the platforms and lob grenades at the droids below.DarthRogueKnight wrote:Mines are win on that level.Nihillo wrote:I hate Kashyyyk, I always fail to protect the refinery.
That depends on which difficulty level you are playing it, I guess.501st_commander wrote:its the easiest next to geonosess

For the Kashyyyk mission, you can always stay close to the refinery while in a tank and blast at any droids that enter the fort thing. You may frequently kill your own team mates but it has worked every time for me.

Re: Hardest Campaign Mission
Agree with that. For the bookcases, I used an engineer and guarded one bookcase. That way you can blast Jedi with the shotgun and repair the single bookcase between waves. For Hoth, it's just the first objective that gets me every time. That cp just seems really difficult to capture. I might get it down to neutral, but then some Rebel kills me and recaptures it, and the process starts all over again.Nova Hawk wrote:I think there might have been a thread like this before, but I'm not sure. Grab an IFT-X (or IFT-T, I can never remember) and sit in front of the refinery. Blast anyone that gets too close, but focus on incoming tanks first.Nihillo wrote:I hate Kashyyyk, I always fail to protect the refinery.

Re: Hardest Campaign Mission
I had no clue bookcases could be repaired. For that neutral CP, I just get in a AT-AT and start blasting the heck out of the Rebels, then I capture it, although I have the AI set at Easy, so it might be different for you.Eggman wrote:Agree with that. I'm always trying to repair anything I can find with the engineer, even the scenery. So I quickly found out that I could repair the bookcases and used the same strategy as Eggman's.Ping wrote:I had no clue bookcases could be repaired.
@AQT and Twilight_Warrior: thanks for the advice guys, I will definitely try that (if I ever get to play the campaign again).

Re: Hardest Campaign Mission
for the knightfall coruscant one.
you should be an engineer and stand right by one of the bookcases.
Then when a Jedi comes on either side, shoot them with a shotgun.
if the jedi damages it, use the fusion cutter to constantly repair it.

Agreed, that's how I always beat it, and when that fails I just use mines. But you know you can always turn the friendly fire off.AQT wrote:For the Kashyyyk mission, you can always stay close to the refinery while in a tank and blast at any droids that enter the fort thing. all maps except hoth is easy, i dont die one time before i gets to hoth beginning. rest of hoth is just the hangar: you get darth vader, so thats the easyest part.

Re: Hardest Campaign Mission
Other then the refinery (which was easy to defend with a tank), I completely agree.Hebes24 wrote:QFT. Any of the Protect/Escort objectives in the campaign sucked out loud.Valthero wrote:Knightfall, protecting the bookcases.

Just played Hoth the other day and the Rebels just had to throw a hundred grenades at the orbital beacon, ruining the whole mission with 10 seconds left.
