But it's not a solution, it's a work around. Since Germany shouldn't be blocked (not listed in guru's post) i hope that guru will have a look at it, when he has the time to do so.

I'm blocked as well, I live in Sweden and the only way I could get in now was to use a proxy website and I'd rather not have to do that everytime I want to visit

i just was on my github page and watched the traffic. most of it came from GT and i was interested in the topic from where the most people come. I clicked on it and it said this: viewtopic.php

But i could access the site i was very surprised since i haven't checked it in the last month.

I don't know who fixed it, i don't know when it was fixed, but GERMANY can access GT without proxy again!!!!!

I was convinced SWBF2 was now dead entirely, as I couldn't reach Gametoast for weeks or months! Maybe you should re-consider blocking a whole country because of some attacks from that country... Or send out an eMail to everyone, so people know? There is an eMail address connected to each account, right?

Gametoast is a hobby and a game I no longer mod but I keep this live even though we have zero donations and continue to use 250 gigs of bandwidth every month which is costly. The server this site resides on is part of a cluster of busy hosting servers and due to abuse and continuous hack attempts we have worked with our providers to block countries via firewall that waste traffic with spam email and guessing ftp password literally millions upon millions of attempts daily, those ip addresses are from a known common blacklist and in general they keep costs low and bad hacking issues completely gone. Sadly many visitors from a lot of these countries probably do buy online and support valid email usage and don't hack but once they are considered 'abuse countries' it's actually better to just block all and unblock only As people call in and prove otherwise.

I guess the people who want to visit the site will read the eMail eventually when they realize they cannot reach the site continuously. Using a proxy or VPN is fine I guess if it helps keeping the site up and running.
