Hey, this being the most computer literate person forum (or maybe second, hhmm) that I am a member of, I'd thought i'd ask: Does anyone here know how to stop windows system restore from deleting exectuables? That useually usefully but sometimes #$#$@#$ program deleted a few on me. . .

were these executables from installed programs or downloaded and where were they located?

In a program files sub folder and downloaded. The folder was on the desktop and restore moved half the folder back . . .leaving a residual folder with (2) in the name were the folder was.
