Will Maps and Mods for the brand new battlefront be featured on game toast as well?

I know they can be like the previous ones, maybe harder because of the higher resolution graphics and sounds and classes, but I'm just wondering if Gametoast will also be the main source of BF EA 2015 mods just like with BF1 & BF2.

There will most likely be no modding. If people were allowed to make mods, who buy DLC?
You must think this way: EA wants your money, they won't get any money if they allow people to build their own, better content and distribute for free. The best chance of mods might be looking at the game's files in hexeditor and seeing what can be found, and changed from there, and that may not lead to much, if anything.

People still bought the XBox DLC, even though those maps were ported on PC from the original Star Wars: Battlefront. However, DICE has always maintained that they won't allow mods of their games. There's no reason to expect that to change for this game.

EA/DICE have repeatedly said that they won't release any mod tools for the frostbite engine. That includes the new Battlefront game.
It's a shame. There are fringe communities out there that have made progress in making editors for frostbite games like Battlefield 3..so the possibility of tools coming out anyway is still there.

I don't know about this, to be honest, especially when you look at franchises of theirs that do support mods, like The Sims. Granted, with The Sims, they have like twenty different $9.99-19.99 DLC packs per title, haha

That's pretty bandwagony and harsh, considering the goal of ANY company is to get your money. People need to get over the fact that this happens. If they don't agree with it they shouldn't drop the cash. Besides, developers, not publishers, are the ones who release mod tools -- even when they're a subsidiary of the publisher.

That's not a personal attack, but rather a general statement.

I will be making mods for my PC version but it's likely first mods out will be hex edited mods like we made when swbf came out , usable locals ,
Items and vehicles moved , map edits, smaller mods at first

The thing I can think of being the fastest and most-wanted mod right now is forcing all storm troopers to wear helmets client-side. Just editing every head model to be the default. There's a HUGE demand for that right now.

From what I read their build tools are very poorly designed, at least they're designed to exactly fit the hardware setup at their company and it's extremely difficult to get them working outside that environment. One article I read said they said they want to support modding, but words like that are empty promises often ignored, especially if it costs a lot of time and money to do so.

I don't have time to do any modding until I finish my thesis (some massive procrastination going on there  ) and I'm not sure if I should support a commercial game that's against my best interests (DLC, poor SP, 3rd party online account required, :cpu:, etc...) when there's so many open source games that would be glad to have another developer. But we'll see.

Supposedly there is a graphic mod being made right now and that article is why I was reminded to come here.

A graphics mod for a game with close to realistic graphics.

Yeah, but I hear that graphics mod makes the game almost unplayable, dropping the framerate significantly unless you have a PC built for specifically for 3D rendering ($400+ graphics card, state-of-the-art i7 processor, etc)

It drops 30-40 FPS and it is at its second build.

What will the final version be?

It drops around to 30-40FPS. Wouldn't recommend it unless your PC is REALLY good.
