Addons for Playstaion 2

A friend from me plays Battlefront 2 on PS2 and he saw the maps i added from this forum.
His Question is how he can get this for his PS2.

It is possible, but very unlikely to happen. (you'd need a modded ps2 + years of modding expierence to accomplish it)

It is possible, but not worth it to do. The most mods that are used on the PS2 version are server mods made by yours truly.

I was going to attempt to make new maps for the PS2 version, but after I got SWBFII for the PC from Steam I didn't care enough to continue.

Teancum started to make a PS2 mod but there were no volunteers with a modded PS2 willing to test it for him, what is going on with that mod now I don't know but the topic for it is right above yours so if you want to know go check that out.

Actually, I just built tools, but nobody ever tried using them. The bigger problem with mods for the PS2 is that 1) you need a modded PS2, and 2) the PS2 can't handle what the Xbox can (which in turn can't handle what the PC can). I can justify an Xbox mod because the system can be modded with no extra hardware and has the power to handle maps with close to the same specifications as a PC map. The PS2 doesn't without major downgrading of quality. --And of course you need the source files to that particular map. You can't just download a PC map and play it on the PS2 or Xbox.

...and PS2 memory cards are only 8MB so, you would to have make a big memory card which is about 500MB-1GB memory size

Memory card mods can't be done. This would require you to mod your PS2, which means either running from an installed hard drive (only on fat PS2s) or getting a mod chip. It's not worth it for PS2 as the engine just sucks on the PS2. Take a look at Mygeeto on the PS2, then try it on the Xbox or PC. HUGE difference.

Whats the point anyway. Just get it for PC. The game cost less than ps2 and it has better graphics.

BTW Yes its possible, I have done it with my uncle. He's a computer wiz. I think he got my ps2 chipped and got a converter power cord. Its really hard...
