I know I might sound crazy when I say this but, Iv'e been doing some thinking about a simple program for making modding easier and faster.
Features.
-on startup it will ask if you want to make a BF1 or BF2 map or mod.
-a side menu having the ability make, edit, or convert any map from any other game, then it will ask you, from the converted map to add CPs, A1 path, ect.
-like on stronghold, you can add objects to the map with ease from a bottom display menu as well as adding your own textures
-another feature on the side menu there would be a class editor if you want Custom sides. you could easily add the folder for models.
-add custom weapons or make your own
-then an option to add custom music and sounds
*so basically it would be a 10 in 1 program and makes everything easier, that makes it convenient for everyone
let me know what you guys think. Sorry if it doesn't make sense, I understand.

There is the MissionScriptor or something like that. It helps in setting up mission objectives. Look around for it. It's probably in the FAQ.

Re: Easier BF1+BF2 Mod Tool
I already thought of doing a new VisualMunge program, that fully works (Musik, Sound, Animation, custom LVLs,...)
Maybe there are others, too and we can work all together on a git project. I'd prefer c++ with Qt because it's the language i have the most experiences with. I did some little things with Java, but i'd start from the beginning to learn it again.

Personally, what I'd love to see for Battlefront (II) is something that closely resembles the UDK's Content Browser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpdCCOUeooc
In addition to that, it'd be great to have a sort of mix between the SWBF Viewer, the various MSH exe tools, and the .OPTION creators. Also, an external application for editing materials outside of XSI would be absolutely wonderful.
